Context: Collaborative research at SUSTech. The manuscript Cavity-tunable Orbital Band Inversion and Helical Edge Transport is in preparation.

Research focus

This collaborative study examines how the cavity environment can modify photonic band structure and edge transport.

Three schematic panels illustrate edge transport, bulk-gap closure, and reversed edge propagation as the cavity height changes
Conceptual illustration from the collaborative manuscript, Fig. 1(g–i). The edge channel disappears at bulk-gap closure and re-emerges with reversed pseudospin-to-direction correspondence after the gap reopens. Colors illustrate the propagation picture; the panels are not measured field maps.

My contribution

I contributed to the experimental work, including measurement troubleshooting and checks of the cavity and probe configuration. The experience strengthened my understanding of how experimental conditions affect the comparison between a photonic model and its measured response.

My role in this project was an experimental contribution. Manuscript authors are listed in their agreed order on the Publications page. Detailed result figures are reserved for publication.
